A universal pre-kindergarten bill signed into law this year in Vermont is being delayed until the 2016-2017 school year.
Governor Peter Shumlin has appointed a Brattleboro Union High School student to the Vermont Board of Education.Lachlan Francis of Putney is a junior at the school. He has been active in sports and civic organizations and has worked as a farmhand and a camp counselor.
