Albany, NY – Alan is joined by Mark Steward to discuss how the state of Mississippi has rethought its youth incarceration programs recorded live at the New York State Capitol's Juvenile Justice Reform Symposium, 9-17-09. Steward was the long-time director of the Missouri Division of Youth Services.

David Kaczynski is Executive Director of New Yorker's Against the Death Penalty. The interview was recorded July 30th, 2009 on in front of a live audience at the WAMC studios.

James Barron is a reporter on the metropolitan staff of The Times and has been a journalist in New York for the last 30-years. He wrote the minute-by-minute stories on the 9/11 attacks for The New York Times on the web and the front page lead story on the 2003 blackout.
