Leaders of the New York Farm Bureau are in Washington this week for the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Advocacy Conference and to meet with the state congressional delegation.  New York’s largest agricultural lobbying organization has a number of priority issues, and it outlined the top three on a conference call with reporters this morning.

The New York Farm Bureau’s Board of Directors met with the Congressional delegation and other Farm Bureau leaders from across the country earlier this week.  They outlined their national public policy priorities today.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency released its finalized Clean Water Rule on Wednesday, which it says will enhance stream and wetlands protection from pollution and degradation. As WAMC’s North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley reports, the decision comes after months of fierce debate.
