Chesterwood in Stockbridge, MA is a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and was the summer home, studio and gardens of America’s foremost sculptor of public monuments, Daniel Chester French.

Its 38th annual outdoor sculpture exhibition, The Nature of Glass: Contemporary Sculpture at Chesterwood 2016, featuring 24 works by 12 internationally recognized glass artists. The exhibition, curated by Jim Schantz of Schantz Galleries Contemporary Glass, will be on view daily until September 18.

Western Mass. Turnpike Tolls Set To Be Restored

Tolls will soon return for motorists traveling on the western end of the Massachusetts Turnpike.

The first of two informational hearings is scheduled for tonight on implementation of tolls between Exit 1 in West Stockbridge and Exit 6, which leads to Interstate 291 and Springfield. The meeting will be held at Lee High School.

A piece of legislation that would set up a rent control board in a Berkshires mobile home park has been approved by Massachusetts’ state Senate.

In February, at a special town meeting in West Stockbridge, voters approved a home rule petition to establish a rent control board for regulating evictions, rent adjustments, and occupancy standards for mobile home parks.
