WMHT

TvFILM is an independent film showcase from WMHT that celebrates the talents of independent filmmakers from upstate New York with a special focus on the Capital District.

This week, TvFILM presents a “Night of Frights" featuring numerous short horror and thriller films, from chilling to comedic. The program first airs October 29th at 10:00pm on WMHT and then will screen at The Linda on Friday, October 30th.

Here to tell us more are Daniel Swinton, the executive producer of the series and Zeke Kubish, TvFilms co-producer and editor.

A documentary film chronicling the events of an attempted neo-Nazi march in the 1970's through a Chicago suburb will air next week on Capital Region PBS station WMHT. The release of the film, which tells the story of Holocaust survivors becoming human rights activists, coincides with Holocaust Remembrance Month.

A mass email urging Capital Region residents to sign a move-on-dot-org petition directed at a local public television station is apparently without merit.

The email begins "Dear Albany MoveOn member" - it's from one Michele Scher, who started a petition on the left-leaning move-on-dot-org website regarding  Citizen Koch, the TV documentary about the Koch brothers and their involvement with the Tea Party, which, according to the petition, has been blocked from airing on WMHT.
