County Players

  County Players was born in 1958. Now, more than half a century later, we are proud to present our 58th season. During our lifetime, we have presented over 200 productions and have served thousands of theatregoers who continue to reward our efforts with their loyal attendance. Clearly, they share our belief that we provide excellent theatre. In 1977, we acquired the old Academy Theatre in the Village of Wappingers Falls, and through countless hours of volunteer efforts, we have turned a crumbling relic into a living theatre – The County Players Falls Theatre.

Shire City Sanctuary

  Shire City Sanctuary is located in the heart of Pittsfield, the biggest city in Berkshire County, MA.  It is the first Makerspace in the Berkshires offering screen-printing and commercial sewing equipment, studio, event, meeting, teaching, and presentation space.  Workspace, collaboration, tutorials and classes are available to members. Shire City Sanctuary also houses a production kitchen available for food-based businesses.  Shire City Sanctuary is a key player in the Berkshires’ Creative Economy, an area long renowned for both its natural beauty and sustainable creativity.

Saratoga Chamber Players

  When Fall arrives, the Saratoga Chamber Players kicks off its season ofchamber music. Artistic Director, Jill Levy, brings together professionalmusicians from Europe, Asia, Canada and the U.S. to create a varied set ofconcerts. The 2015-16 season marks its 29th year of operation. 

Levy is also concertmaster of the Albany Symphony Orchestra, a
position she has held since 1993 after several years with the Pittsburgh
Symphony. In 1994, SCP’s founding Artistic Director, Lucy Manning,
moved out of the area and asked Levy to take the reins of the organization.

Independent Consumer Advocacy Network

  The Independent Consumer Advocacy Network is New York State's ombuds program for managed long term care.  ICAN was established by Community Service Society in December 2014, with funding from the State of New York.  ICAN provides consumer education and assistance to people enrolled in Medicaid managed care plans that cover long term care services.  Through our telephone hotline, community outreach, and website, ICAN counselors provide free, confidential assistance to consumers who have questions or problems with their health insurance.

Norman Rockwell Museum

  Norman Rockwell Museum is located on 36 park-like acres in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, Rockwell’s hometown for the last 25 years of his life. Open year round, the Museum holds the world’s largest collection of original Rockwell art, as well as the artist’s original Stockbridge studio.   Foresters, bird-watchers, hikers, gardeners, farmers, orchardists and natural resource professionals have at least one thing in common; they are all impacted by white-tailed deer. The Nature Conservancy first rang the alarm bell in 2013 when the organization stated that “no other threat to forested habitats is greater at this point in time – not lack of fire, not habitat conversion, not climate change. We can argue about which threat is more significant than another, but no one who walks the eastern forests today can deny the impact of deer to forest condition.”

  Ocean Crest Seafood’s Inc., a wholesale fish and seafood company, is the parent company of Neptune's Harvest Fertilizer's in Gloucester, MA,.  In need of a new, more environmentally safe and cost effective method of disposing of the fish remains, called gurry, that are created after processing, Ocean Crest got together with researchers from the University of Massachusetts' marine science research center and, using an existing facility, developed the process of turning the gurry into fertilizer, which allows the company to utilize 100% of the fish.
