Albany Symphony's All Scottish Program At The Palace 1/17

This Saturday at 7:30pm at The Palace in Albany, The Albany Symphony will present all-Scottish program featuring Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3, Sir Peter Maxwell Davies’ An Orkney Wedding, With Sunrise, and the US premiere of Julia Wolfe’s rISE and fLY concerto written specially for percussionist Colin Currie.

We are joined this morning by Albany Symphony’s Maestro David Alan Miller, afore mentioned composer and co-founder of Bang on a Can, Julia Wolfe, and solo and chamber percussionist, Colin Currie.
