Capitalize Albany Corporation is getting ready for the tuesday launch of its Impact Downtown Albany revitalization strategy. Capital Region Bureau Chief Dave Lucas spoke with Capitalize Albany's Director of Economic Development Sarah Reginelli and Communications and Marketing Assistant Amanda Vitullo.
There will be 3 events to be held next week: the kick-off event (open to the public) on Tuesday November 19th , the tour of nano-tech (this is an internal tour) on Wednesday November 20th, and the young professionals event (also open to the public) on Thursday November 21st.
On Tuesday, November 19th we’ll activate the space at Ten Eyck Plaza on N. Pearl Street starting at 3:30 with food, live entertainment and opportunities for attendees to engage with the project. At 4:00 p.m. we’ll convene with our contributors for short remarks for the media followed by on-camera interviews as necessary. At 5:00, we’ll “open the doors” to provide a glimpse of Downtown Albany’s future inside the Hilton. We’ll have displays set up on the way into the ballroom, which will be set for a Pecha Kucha style visual presentation of future possibilities. The full event will wrap up by six.
