Minority Leader Pelosi To Visit Albany Sunday With Rep. Tonko

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi  will join fellow Democrats in the Albany area on Sunday as part of a bus tour that is kicking off in Seneca Falls. Pelosi and Representatives Paul Tonko of the Capital Region and Carolyn Maloney from New York City are taking part in the When Women Succeed, American Succeeds: Women on a Roll bus tour. The visit is slated for 4:30 Sunday in Albany. The tour ending in Chicago will push for a minimum wage hike, equal pay, paid sick leave, and affordable child care.

A lifelong resident of the Capital Region, Ian joined WAMC in 2008 and became news director in 2013. He began working on Morning Edition and has produced The Capitol Connection, produced and hosted the Congressional Corner, and several other WAMC programs. Ian can also be heard as the host of the WAMC News Podcast and on The Roundtable and newscasts. Ian holds a BA in English and journalism and an MA in English, both from the University at Albany, where he has taught journalism since 2013.
