The trial for a Vermont mother charged in the death of her 13-year-old son has been delayed until next year.
38-year-old Melissa Robitille's trial is now scheduled to get underway in February 2016.
The Caledonian Record reports Robitille and 38-year-old Walter Richters were charged with second-degree murder after her disabled son was found dead in Hardwick in August 2014. Police say the boy died from alcohol in his feeding tube.
Robitille and Richters have pleaded not guilty to the charges and are facing possible sentences of 20 years to life in prison if they're convicted.
Robitille's attorney, Rob Sussman, says Richters' case is delaying things. He says the co-defendant has attempted to enter a guilty plea and is going to attempt to try again in the near future.
