Advocates in Region Concerned Re: Proposed LIHEAP Cuts

Plattsburgh, NY – he Bush proposed budget would cut funds to the low income heating assistance program known as LIHEAP by 8-point 4 percent. Program directors and low income advocates across our region say if the cuts are approved, it could force poor families and the elderly to choose between paying for food, medication or heat.
