PGA:
Defending Masters champion Jordan Spieth collapsed on the back nine -- bogeying the 10th and 11th and suffering a disastrous quadruple-bogey 7 on the 12th -- to allow Danny Willett (WIHL'-iht) to win the 80th Masters. Willett, from Sheffield, England, shot a final round 5-under 67 to finish three shots ahead of Spieth and Lee Westwood, who tied for second.
NBA:
In the NBA, Indiana beat Brooklyn 129-105, Toronto topped New York 93-89, Golden State bested San Antonio 92-86, Miami defeated Orlando 118-96, Utah won against Denver 100-84, Milwaukee edged Philadelphia in overtime 109-108, Houston blasted the Lakers 130-110, the Clippers beat Dallas 98-91, and it was Washington over Charlotte 113-98.
NHL:
In the NHL, Philadelphia beat the Islanders 5-2 and it was Anaheim over Washington 2-0.

In the East, Florida plays the New York Islanders, Tampa Bay goes against Detroit, Pittsburgh goes against the New York Rangers and Washington plays Philadelphia. In the West, it's Anaheim against Nashville, the L.A. Kings against San Jose, Minnesota vs. Dallas and St. Louis against Chicago.

— Detroit Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk is expected to retire from the NHL after the playoffs. His agent, Dan Milstein, has confirmed that Datsyuk wants to return to Russia to reunite with his teenage daughter and to play in the Kontinental Hockey League for at least one season. The 37-year-old Datsyuk has one season left on his three-year, $22.5 million contract.
— Bryan Murray is stepping down as general manager of the Ottawa Senators. Murray, who has been battling cancer, will be replaced by assistant general manager Pierre Dorion.
MLB:
In baseball, in the American League, Toronto blanked Boston 3-0, Baltimore bested Tampa Bay 5-3, Kansas City won against Minnesota in 10 innings 4-3, the Angels topped Texas 3-1, and Oakland slid past Seattle 2-1 in 10 innings. The Yankees at Detroit game was postponed due to rain. The Cleveland at White Sox game was postponed due to rain.
In the National League, Philadelphia won against the Mets 5-2, Cincinnati edged Pittsburgh 2-1, Washington doubled up Miami 4-2, St. Louis crushed Atlanta 12-7, San Francisco beat the Dodgers 9-6, the Cubs won against Arizona 7-3, and it was Colorado over San Diego 6-3.
In interleague play, Milwaukee beat Houston 3-2.
The Boston Red Sox open their home schedule this afternoon against Baltimore with a group advocating for sexual abuse victims planning to demonstrate outside Fenway Park. The Road to Recovery group says the team and Major League Baseball have refused to help more than 20 sexual abuse victims of a now-dead former Red Sox clubhouse manager.
One of the key men in the Mets rotation is having some health issues. Jacob deGrom, the 2014 NL Rookie of the Year, will miss his scheduled start Wednesday against Miami because of a sore muscle in his right side. The Mets said Sunday he will be replaced by Logan Verrett.
DeGrom won the Mets' home opener Friday against Philadelphia, allowing one run and five hits over six innings during a 7-2 victory. He came out as a precaution after 76 pitches because of the discomfort.
— The Texas Rangers have placed right fielder Shin-Soo Choo on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right calf muscle and catcher Robinson Chirinos on the 60-day DL because of a broken right forearm. Choo's injury occurred Saturday while he was running on the wet outfield grass before batting practice, and he is expected to be out four to six weeks.
— The Twins have placed outfielder Danny Santana on the 15-day disabled list with a right hamstring injury. He was hurt in the 7-0 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Saturday.
NCAA:
The University of Connecticut women's basketball team has been feted with a victory parade and rally in downtown Hartford following its unprecedented fourth consecutive NCAA tournament championship. Senior forwards Morgan Tuck and Breanna Stewart were among the star players that addressed a crowd of thousands yesterday.
Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds and UConn forward Breanna Stewart have won the AAU James E Sullivan Award as the most outstanding U.S. amateur athletes who also demonstrate premier leadership, character and sportsmanship. Reynolds led Navy to a school-record 11 wins against two losses and the academy's best end-of-season ranking in more than 50 years at Number 18. Stewart led UConn to four straight national titles.
NFL:
Former New Orleans Saints player Will Smith was shot and killed late Saturday in what appeared to be a road rage incident in the Crescent City. An emailed statement from New Orleans city coroner Jeffrey C. Rouse said that Smith died "of multiple gunshot wounds" after a traffic accident. The former defensive end was 34 years old. A New Orleans magistrate has set bond at $1 million for the man accused of killing the former player. Magistrate Brigid Collins noted that Smith was shot in the back and side.
Defense attorney John Fuller said after Sunday's hearing that 28-year-old Cardell Hayes is not guilty of the second-degree murder charge on which he's being held. He implied that Hayes fired because he believed Smith was going for a gun of his own.
The Jets and the Broncos say they've agreed to terms on the trade that sends left tackle Ryan Clady from Denver to New York. It didn't take long for the Jets to find a replacement for D'Brickashaw Ferguson, who retired on Saturday after 10 seasons in the NFL. The Jets are sending a fifth-round draft pick to the Broncos for Clady and a seventh-rounder.
MLS:
Matt Lampson had eight saves for his third straight shutout and the Chicago Fire held on for a scoreless draw with New York City FC on Sunday night. David Villa put five shots on frame for New York City (1-1-3), including a free kick in the 83th minute and a breakaway attempt in the 84th that forced Lampson to make key saves late.
The Fire (1-1-3) had no shots on goal but had rookie Jonathan Campbell's goal in the 60th minute waived due to an offside call. City beat the Fire 4-3 at Chicago when both teams opened the season March 6.
Soccer:
Julie Johnston scored two goals, Tobin Heath had a pair of assists and the U.S. women's soccer team defeated Colombia 3-0 on Sunday. Christen Press also scored for the Americans, who wrapped up a two-game exhibition series with Colombia after a 7-0 win on Wednesday in Connecticut.
U.S. captain Carli Lloyd, the 2015 FIFA Women's Player of the Year, was held scoreless despite several chances in her homecoming, coming out to a thunderous ovation in the 73rd minute. The Delran, N.J., native grew up 30 minutes from Talen Energy Stadium, the home stadium of Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union. It was her first game in the area since leading the United States to the 2015 World Cup, getting a hat trick in the final.
