The Battenkill Chorale, founded in 1995, is a dedicated group of amateur singers that has become a cultural jewel of the North Country and the Capital Region. On January 18 and 19, The Battenkill Chorale will perform Louis Vierne’s “Solemn Mass” and works by Maurice Duruflé, Jean Langlais, Olivier Messiaen, and Pierre Villette at the historic Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls, New York.

On Sunday afternoon, January 14, at 4:00 PM in Zankel Hall at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, The Battenkill Chorale will present “From Light to Night” featuring John Rutter’s “Requiem” scored for chorus, soprano solo, and chamber ensemble.Gene Marie Callahan is the conductor and Artistic Director. She was the organist and choir director for the First Congregational Church (Old First Church) in Bennington, Vermont, and is a Lecturer in Creative Arts at Siena College where she directs the chorus and teaches Basics of Singing.

A Winter’s Night will be sung by the Battenkill Chorale at the Cambridge United Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 7 and Sunday at 3 this coming weekend.
