The New York State Conservative Party has named its top choices for the Republican nominee in the upcoming special election in the 21st Congressional District.

On February 4th, the Democratic chairs in the district announced their choice: Blake Gendebien . He’s a Lisbon farmer and founder of a pediatric cancer foundation. Gendebien explains his background and why he is running for Congress.

The 15 Democratic county chairs in New York’s 21st district have selected their candidate for a special election to fill the seat being vacated by Republican Elise Stefanik. Stefanik, who has represented the sprawling district since 2015, was nominated by President Trump to become ambassador to the United Nations.
