Town of Plattsburgh officials plan to hold workshops on the town’s efforts to secure a $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant from New York state which would advance its town center smart growth plan.

People swarmed into northern New York and Vermont to view Monday’s solar eclipse and officials are now tallying the economic impact the visitors had on the region.

Thousands of people congregated at the Plattsburgh City Beach on Monday to watch the moon cross the sun leading to totality.
