State of the Lake Report

The Lake Champlain Basin Program’s Vermont Citizen Advisory Committee recently held a hybrid meeting to release the 2025 Lake Champlain Action Plan.

After issuing its State of the Lake report on the health of Lake Champlain in June, Patrick Leahy-Lake Champlain Basin Program officials and scientists have been conducting public outreach sessions to explain the implications of the report. One of the latest brought residents and stakeholders together to hear directly from the report’s chief scientist.

The Patrick Leahy-Lake Champlain Basin Program has issued its 2024 State of the Lake and Ecosystems Indicators report. Produced every three years, it documents efforts to manage the lake, its watershed and address challenges. Representatives from the Basin Program talk about the report and potential threats from invasive species.
