SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Leaders from across the state gather for Governor Mark Dayton's 2014 State of the State address at the Capitol Apr. 30. The Minnesota National Guard has a ceremonial role in the annual event.

Former Vice President and U.S. Senator from Minnesota Walter Mondale died on Monday in Minneapolis. He was 93 years old.

We spoke with Mondale in 2010 about his memoir “The Good Fight: A Life in Liberal Politics.”
