The Second Annual Lantern Parade takes place in Albany’s Washington Park Sunday.
Organizers say the event showcases community creativity, bringing neighbors together from across the Capital Region to celebrate the arts. At dusk, participants will gather at the Lake House to begin a lantern lit parade around the Washington Park lake.

Event organizer Sarah Read says folks will be walking with lanterns to share some light as the days become shorter.
“It’s really just an idea of getting people from all corners of our city to come out together.”
Daylight Saving Time will return at 2 a.m. local time on Sunday, March 11. In the meantime: don’t forget to set your clock back an hour and enjoy the extra hour of sleep.
