Sarah LaDuke
Producer, The Roundtable and The Book ShowSarah has been a public radio producer for over fifteen years. She grew up in Saranac Lake, New York where she worked part-time at Pendragon Theatre all through high school and college. She graduated from UAlbany in 2006 with a BA in English and started at WAMC a few weeks later as a part-time board-op in the control room. Through a series of offered and seized opportunities she is now the Senior Contributing Producer of The Roundtable and Producer of The Book Show. During the main thrust of the Covid-19 pandemic shut-down, Sarah hosted a live Instagram interview program "A Face for Radio Video Series." On it, Sarah spoke with actors, musicians, comedians, and artists about the creative activities they were accomplishing and/or missing.

Lisa Michelle Anderson is a Berkshire-based folk-rock singer-songwriter with a new album and record release show coming up this week!“Get to Somewhere,” produced by Johnny Irion is a collection of true stories that have shaped Lisa’s life and work. The album comes out this Friday, April 4 and Lisa Michelle Anderson will play an album release concert with special guests at The Lion’s Den in Stockbridge, Massachusetts on Saturday, April 5. -
This Thursday through Sunday, The Fisher Center at Bard presents “Masterclass,” an hour-long parody about playwriting, power, pomposity and people from Dublin-based theatre troupe Brokentalkers and feminist choreographer and performance artist Adrienne Truscott. Adrienne is one half of cabaret duo The Wau Wau Sisters who mix performance modes from circus to main-stage and with some regularity perform in the buff. She will serve as MC of the Spiegeltent at Bard this summer for the second consecutive season. Brokentalkers are an internationally renowned theatre company, based in Dublin, Ireland led by Co-Artistic Directors Feidlim Cannon and Gary Keegan with Creative Producer Rachel Bergin. -

This particular space at the contemporary art museum, which opened in 1999 and added this building in 2017, is called “The Prow” - and this is the first time it’s held an interactive exhibition. Alison Pebworth’s Cultural Apothecary opened at the end of February and features a tea service and several invitations to reflect on how you are feeling through emotion identification and surveys. -
Today is World Puppetry Day and Arts Mid-Hudson will mark the holiday starting tomorrow with A Day of Puppetry – which kicks off their Hudson Valley Puppetry Festival. Puppets of all shapes, sizes, and puppetry disciplines will be on display and in performance in communities throughout the mid-Hudson Valley tomorrow through April 26. -
On Saturday March 29 and Sunday March 30, Ars Choralis in partnership with Riverview Missionary Baptist Church will present a concert entitled “Fiat Lux: Let There Be Light.’ The March 29th presentation will be at 7 p.m. at the Riverview Missionary Baptist Church in Kingston, New York and the March 30th performance will be at 4 p.m. at Overlook United Methodist Church in Woodstock, New York. -
The new concert documentary, “The Hip-Hop Orchestra Experience” showcases a 28-piece hip-hop orchestra led by JooWan Kim, a Korean-born composer blending the worlds of hip-hop and classical masters like Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach. “The Hip-Hop Orchestra Experience” will premiere on PBS All Arts tomorrow, March 19. It is directed by Josh Nesmith and he joins us along with aforementioned composer JooWan Kim. -

Empire Training Center for the Arts is a new vocational venture operating out of The Chance Theatre on Main Street in Poughkeepsie, New York.Their first major fundraising event in Poughkeepsie is coming up on March 15. The Dirty Dutchess: An Evening of Vaudeville, Burlesque and Broadway is directed by Peter Flynn. Flynn is a New York based director, writer and educator and he joins us now - along with Empire Training Center for the Arts Co-Founder and Executive Director Trish Santini.
